LUNGevity believes that there cannot be health equity without health literacy.

These materials have been created to be accessible and understood by all people affected by lung cancer in order to make appropriate decisions about their healthcare.

The fact sheets and mini booklets below are health literate and were translated from LUNGevity’s screening/early detection booklet found in Educational Materials. The process of health literacy translation was IRB approved and included user testing by a robust US representative patient sample. All of these materials are or will be available in both English and Spanish.

Thank you to the experts at Health Literacy Media, St. Louis, MO; Linda Fleisher, PhD, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, PA; Upal Basu Roy, PhD, MPH, LUNGevity Foundation; and NCI Community Outreach leaders for their notable contributions and partnership that resulted in these materials.
