Dr. Sahar is a geodetic engineer and GIS Professional (GISP) with experience in research, industry, government consulting, nonprofit, and military domains, specializing in data analytics, geospatial sciences, remote sensing, and algorithm and software development. Her work focuses on advancing geospatial concepts and methodologies as a foundation for addressing key health services and cancer-related topics, and she partners with internal and external experts to establish and sustain interdisciplinary research. This work advances critical topics in access to care, health disparities, and behavioral, social, and environmental risk factors, as well as geographic disease patterns and the impact of disasters on people with cancer. The GST supports a wide range of programs, delivering practical, data-driven solutions that inform strategy and enhance decision making. The team recently established a robust geospatial infrastructure that facilitates more efficient use and sharing of data, information, and research outcomes, with the goal of driving action that benefits people with cancer, caregivers, survivors, as well as the general public.
