Ann Steagall
Ann spent more than 30 years as a thoracic oncology nurse supporting patients across care settings before joining LUNGevity as the head of Patient Services. Multidisciplinary care of cancer patients is Ann’s passion, and she has taught, written, and spoken about cancer patient care nationally.

Dr. Misty Shields
Dr. Shields is a thoracic oncologist and research scientist at Indiana University School of Medicine and the founder of Small Cell SMASHERS, a patient advocacy group in partnership with LUNGevity. Her research focuses on early phase trials, longitudinal liquid biopsies, and translational studies for novel therapeutics, fueled by a personal mission to serve at the bedside and care for patients that began as a teenager when she lost her father to lung cancer.
