Tennessee OncologyMedical Director of Health Equity and Community Engagement Dr. Martin joined Tennessee Oncology in 2022 as Medical Director of Health Equity and Community Engagement. In this role, Dr. Martin helped develop an Advanced Practice Provider-led community education, service, and advocacy program called IMPACT (more ...) He also launched a first-of-its-kind pharmacy-integrated food delivery program for food-insecure patients and is revitalizing patient intake processes to optimize patient-centered experience and connect social determinants of health screening to actionable workflows. Dr. Martin recently completed a two-year term as president of Tennessee Oncology Practice Society (TOPS), the state affiliate of ACCC, where he led state efforts to advance patient- and provider-centered legislation on prior authorization, pharmacy benefit manager, alternative funding program, and step therapy reform, telehealth reimbursement, and access to women’s reproductive oncology care. Dr. Martin also co-chairs the Community Oncology Alliance’s Health Equity Committee.
