LungXperience: Taking Lung Cancer Awareness on the Road
LUNGevity is proud to be participating for the 2nd year in the LungXperience Tour, a national mobile health initiative created in partnership with AstraZeneca and Kroger Health. LUNGevity will be onsite at 21 events nationwide, helping more people understand lung cancer facts, eligibility for screening, and why early detection matters.
What Is the LungXperience?
The LungXperience is an interactive, educational experience designed to increase awareness of lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer death, and empower individuals to take action for their health and the health of their loved ones.
At each event, LUNGevity staff and trained volunteers:
- Educate the public about lung cancer screening and eligibility guidelines
- Explain the importance of early detection
- Share trusted, science-based lung health resources
- Encourage conversations between individuals and their healthcare providers
By meeting people where they are, the LungXperience helps break down myths, reduce stigma, and expand access to critical information.

Volunteer at a LungXperience Event
Volunteers are essential to the success of the LungXperience. By volunteering, you help share lung cancer education, engage event attendees, and amplify LUNGevity’s mission to increase and improve lung cancer survivorship.
LungXperience events are active, outdoor experiences. Volunteers should be comfortable standing and moving around for four or more hours, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions. This role involves frequent conversation with attendees about lung cancer screening, education, and LUNGevity’s mission.
We encourage prospective volunteers to thoughtfully consider their physical comfort, stamina, and emotional readiness before signing up. Your well-being matters, and we want every volunteer to have a positive and supported experience.
